Garbage pre-crusher is an important equipment in the solid waste disposal production line. It is usually used as a coarse crushing equipment to initially crush large and irregularly shaped garbage into smaller blocks or flakes, providing suitable feed for subsequent sorting, fine crushing and other processes, and ensuring the smooth operation of subsequent equipment. The double-shaft shredder is a more common type, which crushes garbage by shearing and tearing the blades on two relatively rotating knife shafts. It has the advantages of strong crushing ability and large processing capacity, and can handle a variety of materials such as domestic garbage, industrial garbage, and construction waste.
Working principle of garbage pre-crusher:
Garbage pre-crusher generally works on the principles of shearing, squeezing, and tearing. Taking the common double-shaft garbage pre-crusher as an example, the blades on the two knife shafts are staggered, and the knife shafts are driven by a motor to rotate, so that shear force is generated between the blades, and the garbage is squeezed and torn at the same time, and the garbage is crushed into smaller particles.

Features of garbage pre-crusher:
Strong processing capacity: It has a large feed inlet, can accept large-volume garbage materials, and can adapt to mixed and complex garbage components. It has a good crushing effect on materials with different hardness and toughness.
Low speed, high torque: It is usually driven by hydraulic or high-power motor. The speed is low during operation, but it can generate large torque, which can effectively crush hard materials, while reducing equipment wear and extending service life.
With foreign body protection function: Some pre-crushers are equipped with foreign body exclusion devices. When encountering foreign bodies such as metal blocks that are difficult to crush, the window can be automatically opened to eject foreign bodies, avoid equipment damage, and improve screening accuracy.
Improve the efficiency of subsequent processes: The garbage can be initially crushed to a certain particle size, making it easier for the subsequent process to achieve accurate mechanical screening of materials at the same volume. It can also break the bag of bagged garbage and improve the automation level of the production line.

In the solid waste disposal production line, garbage pre-crushers, fine crushers, sorters and RDF equipment work together.
First, as the first process, the garbage pre-crusher uses the principles of shearing and extrusion to coarsely crush large and complex solid waste to 100-300mm, reducing the volume and preparing for subsequent processing. Then, the garbage fine crusher further processes the pre-crushed material and crushes it to a uniform particle size of 30-50mm through high-speed shearing.
Subsequently, the sorter uses magnetic separation, eddy current separation, wind separation and other technologies to separate recyclable materials such as metals and plastics, as well as combustible materials and inert substances based on the differences in the magnetism and density of the materials. Among them, the combustible material enters the RDF equipment, and after secondary crushing, drying, and extrusion molding, it is made into garbage-derived fuel to replace fossil energy and realize the resource utilization of solid waste. The entire process efficiently achieves solid waste reduction, harmlessness and resource utilization.

The process flow of the solid waste disposal production line integrates garbage pre-crusher, fine crusher, sorter and RDF equipment, aiming to achieve the reduction, harmlessness and energy utilization of solid waste through the core logic of "crushing - sorting - resource utilization".
