The scrap metal briquette shredder before smelting is a special crushing equipment for scrap metal briquette (such as steel shavings briquette, waste can briquette, car shell briquette, etc.), which is used to tear high-density briquette materials into uniform fragments of 3-10cm, and provide raw materials with uniform particle size for subsequent smelting processes (such as blast furnace ironmaking and medium frequency furnace steelmaking). Its core function is to **break the high-density structure of briquette materials and convert compacted metal blocks into loose, easily fusible particles through mechanical force**. Working principle of scrap metal briquetting shredder:
Dual spindle system: two parallel mounted spindles (speed 10-30rpm), with detachable blades arranged in a spiral line on the shaft;
Hydraulic pressing device: located behind the feed port, the briquetting material is pushed to the blade bite area by a hydraulic cylinder to ensure continuous feeding;
Power system: equipped with a high-power motor (usually 100-300kW) and a planetary gearbox to provide high torque output (up to 100,000 Nm).
